Webcam and Weatherstation
Opposite Plymouth Hoe is the Mountbatten Breakwater. Here, we have mounted a Webcam and a live Weatherstation. Clicking the button on the bottom of this page will launch the cam, and display weather data sampled every minute.
The first time you attempt to view the Camera, you will see a initially see a white screen. Eventually, you will be prompted to install a 'Dlink MPEG4 Plugin'. You will need to say yes to this to view the image. The Webcam uses a sophisticated MPEG4 compression engine to deliver smooth video across the Internet. You will only have to do this once.

Moving the Camera

You can click on the video image streamed from the Webcam. This will cause the camera to rotate and tilt in the direction you have clicked. It is proportional, so the further away from the centre you click, the further the camera will move.
Other users may also be controlling the camera, so don't be suprised if it moves on it's own.

Instant Weather Report
The Webcam Page will give you a snapshot of the current weather conditions sampled from our Weatherstation located at Mountbatten Breakwater.
